Ok, in case you haven’t figured it out by now, my husband and I are Boston natives, living in Pittsburgh.
Got it? Good.
So technically, Boston isn’t really a destination for us, BUT, going back to visit family does entitle us to a vacation, so, why not put together some vacation tips for you? It’s all about you, after all.
Must eat:
MIKE’S PASTRY (North End)
Mike’s is as legit as it gets for Italian pastries. I know, because I’m married to one. An Italian. Not a pastry.
It’s been around since 1946, and it’s one of those things that tourists and Bostonians can both agree on – it’s damn good.
Mike’s does it all, but my drug of choice is a cannoli. Always has been. Always will be.
Also, Mike’s is a cash-only establishment, so don’t go rolling up in there with your fancy debit or credit card. People will start shouting, “Ya holdin’ up tha fahkin line kehd!” (JK people don’t really sound like that. Wellllllllll, actually, some people do.), fists will be thrown, you’ll be embarrassed, you’ll bring shame upon yourself and your family, you won’t get your pastry, etc. etc.

Must do:
HISTORIC TOUR OF FENWAY PAHK (sorry, I meant to say “park”)
I am not a sports person. I really, truly do not give a shit about sports.
But history? Yes. Yes. Yes.
Fenway Park is about as historic as it gets, and this tour is super dope for history nerds and sports fans alike.
Sit in the oldest seats in MLB, check out the press box, go on top of the Green Monsta, and see Fenway like you’ve never seen it before.
Address: 4 Jersey St. Boston, MA 02215.
