If you haven’t peeped my Destination: Nashville guide yet, then this may come as a surprise to you: Nashville Hot Chicken is my shit.
And if there’s one thing you absolutely must do in Nashville, it’s get some chicken.
But when you’re stuck at home sans the real deal, what’s a gal to do? Improvise, I say!

This recipe uses the Ninja Foodie Air Fryer, which is downright the best appliance you will ever own. Air frying food not only significantly cuts down on cook time, but it’s healthier and gets the food crispier. Once you make something in it, you’ll be hooked, I swear.
Check out the Nina Foodie Air Fryer here.
And since y’all know I have a gluten issue, I’m gunna go ahead and make this recipe gluten free too, which is definitely not the case with regular Nashville Hot Chicken. But, we’ll still get the skin nice and crispy since we’re using the air fryer, which will mimic the typical crunch you get from the breading.
I would definitely recommend serving this up on a sandwich with some pickles, as is the traditional method.
